As a basic guideline, Poker bluffing requires one to have an adequate knowledge of some of the most basic and elementary aspects of Poker- the number of players in the game, the level of your competition, the kind of moves your opponents have been making (that is, their tendency to bluff and fall for a bluff), the cards on the table and your hands. The cost of the bluff and the relative cost of the pot matter the most.
