Bluffung is an art

Being able to observe and figure out a bluffing player is also an art. Observant and alert players find it easier to catch the bluff masters and this art grows better with experience. Bluffing is important and if the opposite player feels that the player is only betting when he is certain of winning, he would fold every time the player makes a bet. Betting only on strong hands not only makes you predictable, it also makes you more vulnerable to loose the pot. The meaning and the way in which people bluff today have changed over the years. Earlier on, a twitch of an eye, or an ‘aah’ on the part of the player was a good enough bluff, but now, with the advent of online Poker games, the way people bluff is not only limited to the general body language, but has spread to wider reaches. The number of technically sound online players has increased drastically and the players are more aware about the mathematical concepts of Poker. Statistical numbers and probability situations are some of these concepts that some online Poker players are well versed with. This has made bluffing online a challenge for many traditional Poker players, who were used to the brick and mortar Poker game-play.
